You Never Stop Going to the ER With Your Kids

A couple of weeks ago I got a call from my 14 year old daughters school. They claimed she was having severe pains on her left side and that they had called for an ambulance. Well, in my mind I immediately went in to panic mode. Back in 2003, my daughter has some cysts and her left ovary removed, so I thought that maybe some cysts had grown back and that was why she was experiencing so much pain.

Well, I got to the hospital, they took a urine and blood sample and a couple hours later, she had an ultrasound. Thankfully, all tests and ultrasound came back clean. They diagnosed her with premenstrual syndrome and recommended I take her to a specialist to see if she has endometriosis. We always think of PMS as having mild cramps, bloating and moodiness, but my daughter was in so much pain she could not move. I had no idea it could be so severe. So, we’ll be going to the gynecologists to see about this endometriosis issue and hope for the best.

So, although my kids are older, you really never stop going to the ER.

Almost Ready to Launch Episode 1

I have been working on the podcast and it is not as simple as one might think. There is quite a bit to get together, but there are some really good blogs and podcasts that cover podcast planning and publishing to help you along the way. So I am very close to launching episode 1. As soon as my RSS feed is activated through Feedburners MyBrand, I’ll be set to go.

Until then, continue to check out the blog.

Almost there

I am almost done editing the first podcast episode of Tales of a Single Parent. Stay tuned.
